Established in 1994 and run by a volunteer committee of eight, the Wolverhampton Rheumatology Support Group (WRSG) is for people whose lives are touched in some way by arthritis.
We offer help and support to members, their family, their carers or friends. The WRSG offer telephone help-lines and an 8 page monthly newsletter, containing useful and interesting information. The WRSG works closely with health and voluntary agencies within the city of Wolverhampton.
The WRSG also arrange fundraising events and outings for members and their families.
The WRSG have a range of equipment for loan to members including lightweight wheelchairs, Uniscan walkers and smaller items such as Tens Machines and Heat Pads etc. We offer assistance when possible in meeting individual needs, with interest free, non profit making loans on items such as Tens Machines. The WRSG can offer education in the form of Information Sessions and Challenging Arthritis courses. The WRSG has a number of Support Volunteers.
